Nayauesupat’s Journey of Grace

When land was demarcated, a mother, Nayauesupat, was pushed into the forest.

Her children slept beneath a fragile manyatta–a shelter of earth and grass–every storm broke through rain piercing the roof, and wild animals prowled in the dark. Every night was a prayer for survival.

Then hope arrived. Through Family Partners, she received gifts that spoke into her struggle. Among them, corrugated metal sheets and a solar light became her salvation. The metal sheets silenced the rain, turning a leaking shelter into a roof of dignity. The solar light scattered the shadows, pushing back the wilderness and giving her family courage to cook, to read, and to pray without trembling.

The forest that once echoed with fear now holds a home that hums with life. Her prayers have shifted from desperation to wisdom, and her testimony resounds.

“I once lived in darkness, with no roof to shield me and no light to guide me. Today I live in safety and peace. Every gift has become a pillar of hope.”
