Generosity in Action: One Share at a Time

Direct cash transfers are one of the most proven and effective tools for reducing poverty in low-income countries. Instead of deciding for families what they need most, Direct Give places resources directly into their hands — restoring dignity and empowering them to build a better future.
For families in rural Kenya, that often means:
Reliable access to food and clean water
Starting or expanding small businesses
Planting vegetable gardens
Sending children to school
The impact of Family Partners’ Direct Give program is measurable and lasting. Among families who have been in the program for more than five years, we’ve seen a 30% decrease in poverty levels. Many of these families are no longer living in extreme poverty — thanks to faithful partners like you.
How It Works
Each family is assigned a number of “shares” based on family size:
2–3 family members: 2 shares
4–5 family members: 4 shares
6+ family members: 6 shares
Each share is $30 per month.
Partners can fund one share or multiple shares, and many families are fully supported by a small team — friends, church small groups, extended family members, or coworkers — who join together to make a lasting difference.
Why Your Continued Support Matters
When a partner has to step away, a lapse is created. That means the family receives less Direct Give that month. For families living on the margin, even a small reduction can make a significant impact.
A lapse can be filled in two simple ways:
A current partner increases their monthly gift to cover an additional share.
A new partner joins the team to take that share.
Your decision to step in — or invite someone else to join you — ensures that a family’s progress doesn’t stall.
A Holistic, Gospel-Centered Approach
Direct Give is powerful, but it isn’t a silver bullet. Lasting transformation also requires access to education, healthcare, spiritual encouragement, and community support. That’s why Family Partners works alongside AfricaHope Kenya to serve the marginalized Maasai communities of southwest Kenya through a holistic, Christ-centered model.
If you know someone who would be passionate about helping a family rise out of extreme poverty, invite them to join you.
